A Blog is Born!
Welcome to Defensology.com. It’s probably thematically appropriate that we go live today, Halloween 2005. Infinitely scary and all dressed up.
I want to thank in particular Molly Holzchlag, an extraordinary technologist with a keen knack for elegantly articulating geeky stuff, Robert Scoble, who needs no introduction (and who graciously advised me on tabletPC preferences recently), and DL Byron, and Steve Broback, co-founders of the Blogging for Business Summit that introduced me to this world. Through their inspiration, I blog today.
Thanks also to Todd Hanson and Edwin P. Vigil at Los Alamos Labs, who were gracious enough to give me permission to use Edwin’s fingerprint photograph in my header. Thanks guys!
Cheers, here’s to a bloggy future!

Hi Bob,
Glad to see you are blogging. Do you remember me from Apple Computer?
I’ve been on-line since 1968, and blogging is just they latest word for it.

Jim!
Of course I remember you. You’ve been Mr. Media since the time I first met you, I still remember that even back then (1985) you had more CD’s than probably anyone on the planet, you were indispensable at parties! I’m frightened to ask what you’ve got by now …
Relaly good to hear from you again, and say hi to the rest of the Apple gang if you see any of them.
Send me a private note sometime updating me with contact info too, would love to re-connect.

Bob.. just dumb luck that I stumbled across your blog.. Ah.. little did any of us suspect all those years ago.. in the days of Neil Shapiro, Maug, and of course, your strange and marvelous contribution, VMCO.. just how the world would spin.. and just how pale the “upgrade” from 300 baud to 1200 baud would seem when compared to today’s “standards”!
My biggest legal issue.. is that I tore the tags off of my mattress.. I was on heavy medication at the time, and really didn’t know what I was doing.. but now.. well.. I’m so afraid that the federal officers are coming for me.. that I’m spending my days in the crawlspace under my house! Any sort of deal that you might suggest.. possibly at the Federal or Supreme Court level? (grin)
Ah.. it just warms my heart to know that you remain out of jail.. and have spent quality time keeping others in the same condition!
Peace -Gerry

Gerry! Good to hear from you again my friend. And don’t worry about those mattress tags, I know a good lawyer.
